remember the days when sterling silver was the only way to go? gold was a major faux-pas back then... while packing for our move, i found some interesting pieces that made me very thankful to be back in love with good old gold.
in this month's issue of lucky, i found the most delicate gold bracelet, perfect for everyday wear and special occasions. designed by rachel leigh jewelry, it's simple and chic--just how i like everything!

two things that strike my fancy...
although it's not hard for something to catch my eye while shopping, i spotted two items in particular during my weekly rounds at perimeter mall.. the first being a pair of Joe's Klum Rolled Ankle Chelsea jeans at anthropologie. why re-create the wheel when anthropologie already said it so well on their website... "with their tacked cuffs and slim-fitting silhouette, Joe's distressed ankle skimmers beg to be worn with casual flats and a fitted blazer." perfect. :)
the second being a tie dye scarf from forever 21 coming in teal and purple. makes me feel like i should've been at woodstock!

yes... i am a mac lover
now don't get me wrong... i'm not going to go stick an apple bumper sticker on my jetta but i'll take this moment to express my love for macs... yesterday, my dear fiance took the plunge into the apple world and bought his very first mac! not just a mac, but a macbook pro and the reason i feel the need to gloat is that i actually got something very unexpected out of this whole deal! we were able to take advantage of the "student discount" (thanks to b's boyish good looks and my under 5' stature) and ended up with a hefty price reduction and a FREE ipod touch! SWEET! now i can blast kings de leon and that new flo rida song, right round!
here's how you can get a free ipod touch...

brotherly love.
had my engagement pictures done by my talented brother, clay kessack. fresh out of art school, he's made his way to nyc and found some time to make it down to atlanta to snap a few pics of me and b. now, i am a devout wedding blog addict and stalk wedding photography sites because e-shoots just fascinate me. the ability of some photographers to capture the love between a soon to be married couple blows me away. one thing i never realized though was how difficult it can be to come up with great locations and poses for the shoot. thank goodness my hours of combing through engagement photos paid off. i was able to think of a few of my favorites to "borrow" for my shoot. enjoy a few of my favorites...

gama who?
simplicity at it's best.

T minus 45 days until moving into our new home and still no bedding decisions have been made. i have to admit, i am still discovering my "inner decorator" and have always gravitated toward bright colors and unique patterns, but after a persuasive conversation with my ever stylish friend "T," this minimalist, white duvet she suggested stopped me dead in my tracks and converted me from my regularly bold taste...
